Labelling and records. We put a label on the appliance with the date and the next due date, and you receive a report listing the equipment together with the assessment. Items that failed are clearly marked in it.
The interval depends on the group the appliance belongs to and on the environment in which it is used. It is different for a hand-held appliance on a construction site and for a monitor in an office. We will tell you the exact intervals for what you have, just send us a list.
The practical reason is not only the labour inspection. After a fire or an electric shock the insurer asks for exactly these reports, and if they are missing, the payout is reduced.
