Basic training - construction machinery (2C – concrete mix pumps)

A concrete mix pump conveys concrete through a pipeline or a boom to the place of placement. It belongs to the second group of machinery and may be operated only by someone who has gone through education and training.

We go through the construction and the controls of the pump, positioning the vehicle and extending the outriggers, the load bearing capacity of the ground and the minimum distance from an excavation, controlling the boom and its reach, work near electrical lines and the safe distances, the pressure in the pipeline and the procedure when it blocks, cleaning the system and the risk when blowing it out, communication with the workers at the placement point, and the check before work starts.

The course ends with a written test. After that we issue a written certificate of completed education and training under Section 16(1)(b) of Act No. 124/2006 Coll.

The course is open to a person from 18 years of age who has completed compulsory basic schooling and holds a medical report on fitness for work that is not older than six months.

The certificate has to be kept valid. The familiarisation is repeated at least once every three years under Section 7(5) of Act No. 124/2006 Coll., and updating professional training every five years under Section 16(8). We train under Slovak regulations, which derive from Directive 2009/104/EC on the use of work equipment, valid throughout the European Union. In our experience the certificate is commonly recognised in the other member states.
