Refresher training - forestry machinery
The certificate for operating forestry machinery has to be kept valid. There are two duties for that and it is worth not confusing them.
Repeated familiarisation is carried out at least once every three years under Section 7(5) of Act No. 124/2006 Coll. In it we go through the changes in the regulations since the last training and the mistakes we see most often in practice. Those are people moving under a tensioned winch cable, work on a slope beyond the permitted gradient, a badly secured load on the forwarder and relying on spoken agreement where the machine is noisy. This course covers precisely that duty.
Updating professional training is a separate matter and is carried out every five years under Section 16(8) of the same Act. We run it too, just get in touch and we will arrange a date.
Write to us which machines the operator uses and we will adapt the training to that.
If the operator does not have the certificate yet, start with the basic course. Work with a chainsaw calls for a separate licence card and its renewal.
