Update professional training - operation of a hand-held chainsaw (other activity)
Updating professional training is a separate duty of the licence card holder and should not be confused with repeated familiarisation. It is carried out every five years under Section 16(8) of Act No. 124/2006 Coll. Anyone who does not complete it within the interval loses the validity of the licence card.
We go through the changes in the legal regulations since the last training, current knowledge on the safe operation of a chainsaw in activity other than timber harvesting, and the lessons from accidents. We repeat cutting techniques in stressed timber, work at height and near electrical lines, the rules for working from a ladder, the check and maintenance of the saw, and personal protective equipment.
Repeated familiarisation is the second duty and is carried out at least once every three years under Section 7(5) of the same Act. A separate course serves for that.
Not sure which one is due? Send us the date from the licence card and we will tell you.
If the worker does not have the licence card yet, start with the basic course.
