A hydraulic loader crane on a lorry is lifting equipment. It may be operated only by someone who has gone through education and training and holds a certificate for its operation under Section 17(3) of Decree No. 508/2009 Coll.
We issue the certificate under Section 16(1)(c) of Act No. 124/2006 Coll. after a written test.
We go through the construction of the crane and its controls, the load chart and the way lifting capacity depends on boom reach, the positioning of the vehicle and the extension of the outriggers, work on a slope and on unconsolidated ground, work near electrical lines, placing the load on the load bed and securing it, the check before work starts and the procedure in the event of a fault.
The course is open to a person from 18 years of age who has completed compulsory basic schooling.
The familiarisation is repeated at least once every three years under Section 7(5) of Act No. 124/2006 Coll. The course Refresher training, hydraulic loader crane serves for that.
If the driver also slings and hooks the load himself, he needs a slinger's licence card for it. See the course Slinger.
We train under Slovak regulations, which derive from Directive 2009/104/EC on the use of work equipment, valid throughout the European Union. In our experience the certificate is commonly recognised in the other member states.
