Fire protection training is an obligation of every company under Act No. 314/2001 Coll. The intervals are set by Section 21(1) of Decree No. 121/2002 Coll. on fire prevention. For managers and other employees it is once every 24 months, for persons providing fire protection outside working hours once every 12 months. The employer may set a shorter interval.
A newly hired employee has to be trained after being assigned to the workplace and before starting work, which is stated in Section 22 of the same decree.
We go through the fire protection requirements in the company's premises, the fire hazard characteristic of the particular workplace and the fire safety measures, storing flammable substances, the placing of fire extinguishers and hydrants and how to use them, the location of the main electricity switches and the water and gas shut off valves, raising the fire alarm, evacuation and the duties of the employee when a fire breaks out.
We train online as e-learning and also at your premises. With several sites the online version is usually far easier to organise.
Further duties belong with the training, above all inspections of fire extinguishers and hydrants and keeping the fire protection documentation. Both are covered by our fire protection service. Employees also have to be familiarised under the occupational safety regulations.
