Welding, cutting, grinding and other work with an open flame or a hot surface are activities with an increased risk of fire under Section 1(1) of Decree No. 121/2002 Coll. on fire prevention.
Before carrying them out away from a permanent workplace you need a permit for the activity, a secured work site, a fire watch and an inspection of the site after the work is finished.
Content of the training: assessment of the site and its surroundings, preparation of the work site and removal of flammable substances, the permit for work with an open flame, the duties of the fire watch, extinguishing equipment and inspection of the site after the work is finished.
The training is also intended for contractors from whom operators of industrial sites require a Hot Works document. Participants receive a training record and a certificate.
