Basic training - construction machinery (2 groups)

This course combines the first and the second group. The first is machinery for earthworks, that is a bulldozer, an excavator and a trencher, a loading and unloading machine, a milling machine and a trencher, a scraper, a pipe layer and a roller. The second is machinery for the production, processing and transport of concrete mixes, that is a concrete batching plant, a truck mixer and a concrete mix pump.

It makes sense when the operator alternates between machines from both groups, typically on a site where earthworks and concreting run at the same time. We will issue the certificate for the machines he really operates, so send us their list when registering.

We go through the common basis for both groups, that is the stability and loading of the machine, work on a slope and at the edge of an excavation, work in the protection zone of utility lines and of electrical lines, the movement of people in the working area, moving the machine and the check before the start of a shift. To that we add the specifics of each machine for which you need the certificate.

The course ends with a written test. After that we issue a written certificate of completed education and training under Section 16(1)(b) of Act No. 124/2006 Coll.

The course is open to a person from 18 years of age who has completed compulsory basic schooling and holds a medical report on fitness for work that is not older than six months. Without a driving licence we issue a certificate limited to the workplace.

The certificate has to be kept valid. The familiarisation is repeated at least once every three years under Section 7(5) of Act No. 124/2006 Coll., and updating professional training every five years under Section 16(8). We train under Slovak regulations, which derive from Directive 2009/104/EC on the use of work equipment, valid throughout the European Union. In our experience the certificate is commonly recognised in the other member states.
