The certificate for operating a mobile elevating work platform does not last for ever. The familiarisation is repeated once every 12 months under Section 3(1) of Decree No. 147/2013 Coll.
In the refresher training we go through the changes in the regulations since the last familiarisation, the lessons from accidents and incidents in work with platforms, and the things that cause most trouble in practice. Those are stabilising the machine on uneven ground, work near electrical lines and rescuing the operator from the basket. We also repeat the check of the platform before work starts.
The new written certificate of verified professional knowledge is issued by an inspection technician under Section 17(3) of Decree No. 508/2009 Coll.
An employee who has not completed the repeated familiarisation within the interval must not operate the platform. So keep an eye on the date, or write to us and we will remind you of it.
