What does FP mean?

FP, or in other words пожежна безпека (alternatively, the abbreviation FP - пожежна безпека is also used), represents necessary measures to minimize the risk of пожеж at every workplace. These measures are focused on prevention and rapid response in the event that a пожеж does occur. Services in the field of пожежна безпека are designed to reduce the likelihood of a пожеж occurring and at the same time to provide effective protection in the event of a crisis situation connected with пожеж. Thanks to these measures, a safe working environment is ensured and potential damage is minimized.

We provide пожежна безпека and пожежна безпека technician services in accordance with Act No. 314/2001 Coll. on Пожежна безпека, Decree No. 121/2002 Coll. on Fire Prevention and other legal regulations throughout Slovakia.

  • Fire protection training and professional preparation for your employees

  • We will prepare complete FP documentation

  • We will provide preventive пожеж inspections (пожеж inspections)

  • We will prepare documentation and training with authorization from the Regional Directorate of the Fire and Rescue Corps and set up the system according to the employer’s conditions

A regular пожеж inspection can identify risk areas and factors in the company’s working environment. An important goal is to prevent potential пожежs and ensure that the working environment meets the highest safety standards.

The frequency of preventive пожеж inspections varies depending on the type of premises:

  • Every 3 months in standard premises such as shops, services and healthcare facilities.

  • Every 6 months in administrative premises.

  • Every  12 months in residential buildings and in buildings and premises where there are only occasional workplaces, where an employee is not regularly assigned and where they stay only occasionally at intervals of several days, usually only for the purpose of inspection, maintenance or repair


During preventive пожеж inspections, the following are also often carried out, among other things:

  • Inspection of пожеж extinguishers

  • Inspection of hydrants (hose systems) and other equipment for supplying water for extinguishing пожежs

  • Inspection of пожеж closures - in this case, their functionality, good condition, marking and good accessibility are checked.

If any deficiencies or problems are found during the inspection of these elements, it is important to solve these problems quickly and effectively. Above all, it is important that these devices are functional and in good condition whenever you need them.

Preventive пожеж inspections will be carried out for you by our professionally qualified person -  a пожежна безпека technician or пожежна безпека specialist.


What are the main obligations of the employer in the field of FP

Within пожежна безпека (FP), every employer is responsible for ensuring safety measures and procedures that minimize пожеж risks and ensure the protection of employees’ health and lives.

  • Regular performance of mandatory preventive пожеж inspections

  • Regular employee training

  • Clear marking of escape routes and places with пожеж risk

  • Ensuring access to extinguishing agents and rescue equipment

  • Preparation of documentation, пожеж plans and directives

  • Regular пожеж evacuation simulations


FP documentation - an important part of a safe working environment

Every employer is legally obliged to have пожежна безпека documentation and to carry out regular FP inspections. 

Creating clear and precise documentation enables effective risk management, which has a positive impact on the safety, efficiency and performance of your company.

Exceptions where FP documentation is not required

  • operations whose number of employees does not exceed 5

  • operations that are in personal ownership and do not exceed 100 m2

  • operations where no activity with increased пожеж risk is performed.
