Basic training - forklift trucks (class I. and II. and types and, B, C and W1)
A forklift truck may be operated only by an employee holding a motor truck operator's licence card. We issue it under Section 16(1)(a) of Act No. 124/2006 Coll. after a written test, an oral examination and a practical examination.
This group covers classes I and II and types A, B, C and W1, that is electric trucks and internal combustion trucks with pneumatic tyres. Those are most of the trucks in warehouses, in production and in distribution. For these types you do not need a driving licence, that is a condition only for type W2.
We go through the stability of the truck and the load chart, safe driving and load handling, driving on a ramp, the check of the truck before a shift, handling the battery or the gas cylinder and the procedure in the event of a fault or an accident.
The course is open to a person from 18 years of age who has completed compulsory basic schooling and holds a medical report on fitness for work that is not older than six months.
The licence card has to be kept valid. The familiarisation is repeated at least once every three years under Section 7(5) of Act No. 124/2006 Coll., and updating professional training every five years under Section 16(8). You can take both with us.
We train under Slovak regulations, which derive from Directive 2009/104/EC on the use of work equipment, valid throughout the European Union. In our experience the licence card is commonly recognised in the other member states.
If you also need further types of truck, see the extended variant with types D, W1 and W2.
