Basic training - electrical technician §21
An electrical technician under Section 21 is the basic level of professional competence in electrical engineering. He works on electrical installations according to instructions, not independently. Independent activity calls for level Section 22, and directing an activity or an operation for level Section 23.
The levels and the requirements for education and professional practice are laid down by Decree No. 508/2009 Coll. The certificate is issued according to the voltage and the class of the premises, so tell us when registering what installations the employee will work on.
We go through the effects of electric current on the human body and first aid after an electric shock, protection against contact and against short circuit, systems and classes of premises, safe switching off, securing and verifying the de-energised state, live working and work in the vicinity of live parts, electrical apparatus and tools, documentation and the duties of the operator in the event of a fault.
The course ends with a written test. After that we issue a certificate of competence to carry out activity on electrical installations under Section 16(1)(a) of Act No. 124/2006 Coll.
The certificate of competence has to be kept valid. Updating professional training is done every five years under Section 16(8) of Act No. 124/2006 Coll., and repeated familiarisation at least once every three years under Section 7(5). The refresher training for electrical technicians serves for that.
Anyone who also carries out inspections and checks of electrical appliances or of hand tools will find them among our services.
